Been playing around with isometrics in javascript again,

here are my results.. http://www.acoders.com/members/rhodesy/tinyland/

..still undecided if I want to proceed with this into a game, had an idea of developing an online war game... turn based.. similar to http://www.weewar.com but more feature-full..

Currently im going to get a map maker done, and have ajax send data, and have PHP render a nicer looking map image that will then be cached.

Ideas still up in the air, and i'd love some input..

As before, working well in my mobile phone's browser. That could be a big selling point for anything you make, especially as phones become more "smart".

What are your ideas for a game or project? I'd be happy to help you develop and work with an idea if that would help... just need a firm starting point

Ok, been talking this over with Jon and have some ideas....but im struggling to get them to fit all together...

One idea is to have a universe that everyone is in (maybe not a visual universe, because they would be very difficult to do in an online web based game...)

I was thinking of having it so you start with a small area/base and then you develop technology, using a resource (undecided) to limit how much and how fast you can progress.

You are able to develop new technologies and then use these to create new units (such as in Alpha Centuri and an old windows game called Stars), you will be able to visually design these units to a degree, again, undecided on how visual this will be due to bandwidth / server space, im thinking that if you start with a body, this body then has several ports that things can be attached to such as wheels, tracks, weapons, technology (rader, jamming, emp), wings... then wings could have several ports of its own.... and having to balance all this out to make an effective unit for the purpose you need.. balancing weight, strength, cost, speed to build, power, weaknesses..

going back to the massive universe, it will seem unfair if someone who has developed super units then has an option to battle a new person with the basics, this is were weewar is good because everyone starts equal..
