| Q | What type of games are eligible for the competition? | | A | Any genre of game is elegible for the competition (example: puzzle, platform, etc), as long as it uses the theme, time and/or time manipulation in some way. | |

| Q | Can I enter more than one entry? | | A | No. In order to keep the competition competitive and open to a large array of people, only one entry per person, or team. | |
| Q | Is there an age limit for entrants? | | A | No. Everyone is encouraged to enter. | |
| Q | Will it matter if my game is 2D or 3D? | | A | No. The competition is open to both 2D and 3D games and neither game will be scored differently than the other. | |
| Q | What If I finish my game 1 day after the competition is over. Can I still enter? | | A | No. The rules of the competition will be followed strictly to allow for fairness for all who enter. | |
| Q | Where should I send my finished entry? | | A | All games entered will have to be uploaded and submitted prior to competition deadline to a reliable server. Any entries whose server does not allow for download by judges upon competition deadline will be disqualified. | |
| Q | Can I use ripped graphics in my entry? | | A | No. All graphics used in game must be original. | |
| Q | If my entry was a team effort, and we win, can I have the prizes sent to different locations? | | A | No, you can have them sent to the address specified on the application form, and then you must handle any further deliveries. | |

| Q | Can I feature the games entered into this competition, on a cd that will distributed to members of the public? | | A | Yes, as long as the cd itself is not being used as a means to gain proffit. This includes shipping and handling. A scenario where a cd can be distributed, is on a cover disc for a magazine. | |
| Q | Can I use a game that I have already started prior to this competition? | | A | No. All games must be original to this competion. | |
| Q | What is the cost to enter the competition? | | A | The competition is free and open to all independent gamers. | |
| Q | Will Acoders own my game? | | A | No. Your games will remain your property, however, Acoders reserves the right to use your games to promote independent game development as they see fit. | |
| Q | I or my company has sold games in the past. Am I eligible to enter? | | A | Yes, as long as your company is an indie game developing company and your game remains freeware, you may enter the competition. | |
| Q | What does it mean when it says my game must remain freeware and freely distributed? | | A | All games entered into the competition must remain free to download. | |
| Q | Is there a limit on how big of a file size my game can be? | | A | Yes. As stated in the rules, all games must remain less than 15 megabytes and must be submitted in a .zip, .rar, .ace, or .tar format. | |
| Q | What if I win a prize and the sponsor refuses to award it? | | A | Acoders has worked to ensure that all sponsors understand their commitment in the competition, however, we are not responsible if a sponsor does not fufill their agreement | |
| Q | How do I claim my prize? | | A | After judging has been completed and winners are announced, Acoders will provide both the winners and the sponsors with contact information. After this has been done, it is up to the winners and sponsors to arrange for delivery of prizes. | |

| Q | Is it possible for my company to become a sponsor? | | A | Yes. We encourage all companies who would like to sponsor a prize for the competion to contact us via our website. | |
| Q | Why is Acoders hosting this competition? | | A | We at Acoders would like to use our relationships among the indie game community to help promote other indie game developers and the products they use. | |

| Q | What program does my game have to be made with? | | A | This competition is open to all game programs to include, but not limited to Blitz, Multimedia Fusion, and Dark Basic. | |
| Q | How can I compete with games made with more advanced software? | | A | Games will be judged on the categories listed in the rules and will be judged on their individual merit. The judges themselves are familiar with various gaming software, styles, and genre. Don't think that just because your game is simple in design that it won't rate higher than one that is more complicated or "flashy" | |
| Q | What types of games are the judges looking for? | | A | We are looking for games of all genre, graphical style, and gameplay. The judges come from a wide variety of gaming background and each have their own personal favorite styles from old school to 3D modern. That said, an old school style game has as much of a chance to win as a 3D one, having they follow the guidelines and score higher in each category. | |
| Q | I have or don't like a particular prize, can I exchange it for an alternate prize or its cash value? | | A | No. The prizes indicated are for each particular placement. You cannot exchange it or get the cash value. We along with our sponsors have worked hard to provide a variety of prizes. | |
| Q | What is the Acoders member system? | | A | In order to take full advantage of features of our site and to enter this competition you must first become a member. To do this simply click on the "sign up" link in the upper right hand corner of the site. | |
| Q | What does being a member of the Acoders members system allow me to do? | | A | As a member of the Acoders members system, you will be able to take full advantage of all of the features of this site. The features include internal or "Ac" mail, in which you can send messages to members and staff, you can also post on our forums, become beta testers, and have fun with our collections feature. | |
| Q | Wow, over $5000.00 worth of prizes! Does that mean cash prizes? | | A | No. If you have checked out the prize section of the competition you will learn that the value for the prizes is sometimes used to give a monetary value of the prizes. This is only for informational purposes, and no cash prizes are given. | |
| Q | Do I get a choice between the prizes listed under each place? | | A | No you get all of the prizes!! That's right, if you win 1st place for example, you get all the items listed under the 1st place, which incidently adds up to over $2000.00 worth of prizes | |
| Q | Must my game be in English? | | A | Well....All the judges speak and read English and although not required, it is appreciated that the games and their instructions remain English. This however does not mean your game will be disqualified if it is not, however, in order for your game to be fully understood and have the best possibility to recieve the maximum number of points, English is preferred. | |
| Q | Can I use one of the ACoder's services to aid in the creation of my entry? | | A | No, please refer to the rule that states: "Acoders team members may not enter." | |
| Q | Can I use lib graphics for my game? | | A | Lib or library graphics will be able to be used in the competition as long as you have the legal right to use them. This includes graphics, models, and textures that have been included in software packages or have been purchased or downloaded with the authors permission of use. Graphics ripped from a game without the author's or legal permission however are not allowed. | |
